Extend offers young, passionate dancers a structured, industry-aligned training program for students in Grades 7–8 (turning 12+) who are ready to train with purpose, earn real qualifications, and be mentored toward professional pathways.
Delivered after school hours to complement academic life, Extend gives dancers real progression pathways with greater depth, direction, and technical development than regular classes — building confident, capable and well rounded performers.
Certificate I in Dance (CUA10120)
Certificate II in Dance (CUA 20120)
Each certificate is a seperate, nationally recognised qualification, under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), developed in partnership with Empowerdance RTO 40397.
Students graduate with a nationally recognised Certificate I or II in Dance, as well as advanced technical precision, performance quality, and artistic versatility required for higher level training through recognised dance syllabus.

CUAIND211 - Develop & apply creative industry knowledge
CUADAN211 - Develop basic dance technique
CUADAN212 - Incorporate artistic expression into basic dance performances

Part-time after school hours over one or two years, depending on student experience and progression
Classes are held during QLD school terms.
Students may also receive performance opportunities and guest workshops which may require additional time commitments.
Entry is by audition or invitation and is best suited to dancers who:
- are a minimum 12 years or older (example in Years 7 or 8 at school)
- have a minimum 2 years current dance training
- are training in a Ballet syllabus and at least one other dance style
- thrive in a focused, good work ethic environment;
- have a willingness to commit to regular attendance, assessments, and personal growth
3:45pm - 4:30pm - Warmup + PBT/ Pilaties
4:30pm - 5:30pm - Jazz tecnhique and/or Jazz exam syllabus work
5:30pm - 6:30pm Tap technique and/or Tap exam syllabus work
6:30pm - 7:00pm - Theory
7:00pm - 8:00pm - Student Elective (Non compulsory) : Acro/ Hiphop / Private lessons
8:00pm - warm down and finish
Fees are all-inclusive and SDA College offers flexible payment options to support accessibility, including Payment plans. Some students may access VET in Schools funding through their education provider.
