LEAD

Career Training & Part-Time Cert III in Assistant Dance Teacher

Untitled design-7.jpg

At SDAC, we’re more than a dance college — we’re a mentor studio for the next generation of dance educators. LEAD is where passionate senior students  (14 and over) take their first step into teaching, guided by mentors who’ve done it all before.

More than just a part-time qualification, this is your entry into leading a class, earning trust, and becoming the role model every young dancer remembers.

Lead others

LEAD is about more than logging hours as a class helper. With SDA College’s boutique, mentor-driven approach, you’ll learn in an environment designed for aspiring educators, where your growth as a teacher matters just as much as your technique as a dancer.

Students gain first-hand experience assisting real classes, breaking down choreography, communicating with clarity, and helping to plan and deliver safe, engaging lessons across a range of ages and genres while continuing to refine their technique and artistry. LEAD gives graduates the skills, qualification, and credibility to step into paid assistant roles, progress to a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management, and contribute meaningfully to the next generation of dancers.
